Working at a college its always shocking finding out a lot of the youth don’t know ad blocking at least. Volunteering after my shift to help with tutoring or other help they will try to show me a youtube video even on their personal laptop. Every start of a semester its something that leaves me shaking my head.
I’m sorry to hear that because I had similar problem but clearing cookies & cached web content option ended up working for me. Hope you find something that work because it was awful to experience ads after so long. I track stuff I subscribe to with TubeSync but still like to search for new topics & the ads were annoying.

I was a little bit worried about Shawn’s strategy but he married his big pitch to the tried & true method of pressuring Ford first(more family owned & Detroit/Michigan connection to contend with). Proud to say he got a lot a lot of the strong labor points out there in the public. Glad we are seeing benefit from having more labor friendly president(we can always do better but glad we have something).

People who read headlines are being robbed here. I agree following the Forbes article was WAY more helpful and nothing backed up Gizmodo’s claim.
I’m betting that is going to occur with growing out communities. They will probably have disagreement with admin then move or just want a more focused community that people can click local & get what they want.
We have to see people show up, learn, and start to enjoy it. A big instance has some perks for the time being and everyone might want to see its sticking power before dealing with headache of running their own instance.
As a federation shouldn’t we start with Diplomacy? This is a prime example. We didn’t wait long enough, and it was clarified rather quickly.
Defederation should require more deliberation and unless an immediate emergency shouldn’t there be other actions under consideration first.
A little bit of learning curve but getting the hang of it.
Then we also don’t know if the action is just temporary to just remedy a problem before IPO or a serious consideration. Rolling it out quickly is moronic too because what about smaller subs & targeted harassment.
