I actually just repleace mine. I found that it was actually getting pretty slow at browsing the web. Websites have so much garbage code running on them these days. Funny that the new Samsung phones have the same amount of RAM and storage.
Also, the security updates thing was getting to me. I have way to much banking info exposed on my phone to keep using it out of security update window.
I went out of my way to purchase prusa the first time. With these new developments, I probably won’t.
Yeah, the enclosure is a driving factor as I’d like to branch out to different materials. The AMS seems pretty awesome as well since I’ve been wanting to do multi color for a while now.
It will be a significant speed upgrade…but the quality is only a little better. It’s one of the things holding me back. Not sure I really need to upgrade yet.
I’ve been thinking about upgrading my MK3. It was a hard choice between Prusa and bamboo. This makes the choice a bit easier.
Do a BIOS recovery using the jumper. You’ll have to go to download the recovery BIOS from Intel.
Edit: didn’t read the full post. You can turn off the other LED in the bios.Youll need a display to know what’s going on and to debug. If no storage is present, it usually boots to PXE boot or a screen that says no boot device found.

I got an xz2 compact and was so excited about it. Then I realized that even thought it supported wifi calling, you could not used the feature on Verizon network. I tried so many different ways to get it to work, but bottom line was Verizon wouldn’t allow the required FW. Since I lived somewhere with no cell service, I had to replace it. It’s so sad that a phone can have features that can be blocked on some networks…
Those reports might effect investments from the smaller players, but the big names(Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc.) are locked in a race to the finish line. So their investments will continue until one of them reaches the goal…[insert sunk cost fallacy here]…and I think we’re at least 1-2 years from there.

Couldn’t agree more. There is quite a bit of AI vaporware but NVIDIA is the real stuff and will weather whatever storm comes with ease.

I guess I just have an ancient phone that can’t display it. I see it on the photos that people posted with the contrast turned up…but can’t see it at all on the original.

Try adding a HDMI dummy plug. Older Intel NUC’s (8th gen and earlier) have an issue that’s fixed (but always seems to come back…) where they don’t like functioning headlessly (without a display connected.)
Edit: Also, make sure your BIOS is uptodate.

Intel integrated graphics is pretty phenomenal for ~5 user HTPC setups and NUC’s are basically the best Intel products ever. Nothing better than it just working out of the box.
The house is not occupied and there is access to the crawlspace.
My main concern is that I’m not sure a concrete foundation can be built underneath the house. Since it has the addition which a concrete foundation, the house cannot be lifted. The weight bearing concrete would have to be built upto the level of the house…which I’m not sure is possible.
A basement would be amazing.

Well…except to meet code for wood foundation you must use treated wood (usually treated with some kind of copper arsenic) which is not great for the environment (both the production and usage).
