if youre using android, please install youtube revanced/revanced extended. it makes the youtube experience a lot less shit. if youre using an iphone and live in europe, wait until iOS is officially forced to allow sideloading and install a third party client!
Do these 3rd party apps let you get rid of Shorts? I absolutely despise accidentally clicking on Shorts and would prefer if they actually stayed in the Shorts section so this doesn’t happen on my Home feed.
Try Grayjay still in development and sometimes it crashes but it has no shorts. Better said it has them but they get treated like a video. No full screen no dedicated button and no scrolling. Downside (or not) it has no recommendations even if you subscribe, can’t comment in youtube but you got a platform comments
I just went the ol’ VPN route and got a YouTube Premium family subscription in Turkey. It’s about 2€/month for 5 people; peanuts essentially. I wish I could avoid giving money to Google entirely but I’m mostly using Apple devices to consume YouTube content and my four friends who share the subscription with me do as well. So yeah, that’s the trade-off I can live with.

Yup.
Use Newpipe for Android. Best YouTube experience you can get.
There is a way to import them in block!
Not if you want to keep the subscriptions from your official account. In that case Revanced is better.
I’m pretty sure there’s an import option. But I’ve never used it because I have no Google account.

They’re clearly using iOS. Plus, you can already sideload up to two apps with SideStore. I recommend uYouPlusExtra.
