Nowadays, buying an iPhone to jailbreak afterward, doesn’t make much sense at this point. You pay so much to get stability and constancy, and jailbreaking takes both away.
As ex jailbreaker, I switched to Android for this reason.
iPhone 8 stills fine for jailbreaking, but newer devices have more security layers that need to be bypassed, therefore you will have stability problems.
Also now, jailbreaks are rootless, which I don’t know what really means (probably less tweaks functionality).

Same here, was on an iPhone 8, jailbroken on ios 16.4.1 with no stability issues. Jailbreaking is dying, I switched to Android too.
