minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•2 years agoAlpine uses musl libc + busybox as GNU replacements. They have less code base and they are more lighweight. GNU code is really old and some power users say the code is bloated and poorly maintained.
There are some OS like Alipine Linux that relay on the Linux kernel but don’t use GNU userland.
