minus-squareCousin MoselinkfedilinkEnglish1•edit-21 month agoIrrelevant: Scared me for a sec, thought I had an IP leak as I VPN to Switzerland but remembered I explicitly allowed Maps to be routed through a US VPN.
You have to access it from a US IP address to get the new name.
From a UK or German IP address, Google maps has it as Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America).
We’re being dragged into this mess so will look to report it
