This is the least-incorrect part of your comment, but it’s still incorrect. You need to understand that it’s possible for parties to be vastly different degrees of right-wing.
Liberalism is the moderate wing of fascism, it is indeed a reactionary ideology. But among the both variants of liberalism there are the left wing liberals (the Democrats in the US, and in oppressed countries it is the national bourgeoisie), and right wing liberals (the Republicans, and the international bourgeoisie in oppressed countries). This does not mean they are left wing, just that using each other to create some sort of measurement system one is more to the left and the other one more to the right.
It’s a top down problem. When your Republican leaders are encouraging hate and abuse, it sets the tone. It’s a failure of leadership.
