Hosting provider Uberspace has taken down the website of youtube-dl after being held responsible for the website linking to the software on GitHub.

They should just move to a jurisdiction that does not care for US thugs.

    Wouldn’t this same logic require vlc media player of all things also be taken down, as it is possible to use it to download YouTube videos?
