+1 for Doechii! Her tiny desk concert is a great leaping off point for her work!

Just felt the need to say our music libraries look very similar. You have great taste.
I’ve had good luck with logitech mice. Have an MX Master, g502 “Lightspeed” (or whatever nonsense), and a wired MMO one with 12 thumb buttons. I really only use the g502, but I keep the others around and they are all very compatible and usable. I currently use solaar as my software, but I’m finding remapping to be a bit more fiddly than I’d like. I liked Piper but it wasn’t working with the wireless g502 after I spilled water on my previous wired one. Maybe it’s been updated and works again. Going to check out input-remapper that another user mentioned.
Yeah, my ideal setup would be a script that uses the Spotify API to fetch my discover weekly, and then if I like a song it goes and downloads the whole album it’s from, with the option of the artists whole discography. I’m slowly working through all my playlists finding the album each song is on, but I should really automate that process.
I’m not able to check on my box right now, but I’ll try to take a peak at my configs when I get in front of an SSH connection.
Yes!! Soularr
+1 for SoulSeek and Slskd. Been using it for about a month now, and I’ve largely ditched Spotify because of it. Once I get the Arr integration working it’ll be a very nice system. Still deciding how I want to tackle music discovery, but sourcing the songs I know I want has been pretty easy.
Another +1 for it here. Use it multiple times a day between Linux, MacOS, android, and iOS.
I second Touch! Though just with my own experience I project some level of transness onto the robot. Sort of this feeling, or moment, of finally becoming “living” and knowing what human contact and connection feels like, but struggling to find it.
Mah’s Joint - Jon Bellion
“When my mother was a mother to my mom”
Always brings me to tears
Product of my Own Design - Artio
“Get on your knees and pray to me
The problem child becomes the only God you’ll ever see
You made me believe that I was never mine
I made my goddamn self, a product of my own design”
This song is fairly explicitly about being trans and struggling being seen as who you really are by family. It’s not really trying to be sad about it though, more empowering in spite of that struggle. Great song.
I sort of have 3 variations of this drawer. One is fully named “the junk drawer” and contains things like rubber bands, batteries, scissors, garden snips, things that are sort of odd one out in other spots, but I feel are still relevant to my kitchen. Then I have one that is this but specifically things used on the stove and for mixing. So that puts spatulas, whisks, and such into their own mess. Finally is the “kitchen gadgets” drawer which looks very similar to yours. No organizer tray because everything is odd shapes, but also honestly sees little enough use I don’t really mind digging through it.
Making me miss home down east! Not sure there will be much, if any, snow where I am now. At least none that will stick. Used to get enough to play in here, but not anymore. I’d honestly trade having to clear it all myself just to get one decent storm a year. Glad Maine didn’t have remote learning when I was growing up, we made out like thieves with all the snow days.
I love lemmy for people like you!! Feel like this type of generosity just doesn’t show up on other platforms. OP please see this^
Any chance on getting more info about the hardware specifics? From the sounds and looks of it this is almost exactly the scale of what I’d like and running pretty much the same things I’m thinking interested in.
Maine I think loops back around to y’all territory…
I’ve integrated a Boox e-ink tablet with my Linux system using syncthing. Note taking is a treat and can be done right onto PDFs or e-books.
Thank you so much for the info!
Bump for 4get
Brother said “we didn’t actually do that, something other than a cartridge caused our printer to brick.” Days later HP said “hold my beer.”
