Sucks to be an iOS user. On Android you can install ReVenced and block all Ads and in video sponsors.

Additionally, you can install 3th party clients for YouTube Music (without ads and background play).

Don’t worry, iPhones will need to support sideloading by March 2024 in EU. Unfortunately, unlike with USB-C, this will most likely be limited to EU.

So, if you’re not in the EU… do continue worrying.

What is the difference in this new sideload thingy EU only compared with what we have today with tools like Altstore?

Probably they will add a way to sideload APKs iPAs on device, without 3th party tools.

They might increase the 3 apps limit too.

Oh yeah, that is an annoyance that needs to be fixed, totally forgot about it.

You han use yattee, pay for a developper account (20$/year) to sideload apps like uYou+ (modded yt with revanced feautures) or jailbreak your device to sideload apps freely.

Are you sure you want to use shady 3th party service like that? You wouldn’t want to break out of Apple’s eco system, wouldn’t you? 😂

Jailbreak? Jailbreak is dead since iOS 15 but ok 🤙 Nowadays, buying an iPhone to jailbreak afterward, doesn’t make much sense at this point. You pay so much to get stability and constancy, and jailbreaking takes both away.

As ex jailbreaker, I switched to Android for this reason.

Same here, was on an iPhone 8, jailbroken on ios 16.4.1 with no stability issues. Jailbreaking is dying, I switched to Android too.

iPhone 8 stills fine for jailbreaking, but newer devices have more security layers that need to be bypassed, therefore you will have stability problems.

Also now, jailbreaks are rootless, which I don’t know what really means (probably less tweaks functionality).
