This is my first post on here, just navigating a new platform, I like all the little communities, so fun
minus-square@[email protected]OPlinkfedilink2•8 days agoWhat does NSFW stand for? Nudes Sex Fun Wanking? Is switching on cause explicit content to show up or block it?
minus-squareGloomylinkfedilink1•8 days agoNot Safe For Work, mostly nudity, sometimes violence. I don’t know where you are doing the switching on or off part. I do this over my app (Boost), where I have to turn it on (show NSFW content) to see it.
minus-square@[email protected]OPlinkfedilink2•8 days agoI downloaded the Lemmy Voyager app for iOS and there is a toggle switch for this item. The term “not safe for work” reminds me of an episode of “I think you should leave” on Netflix
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish2•edit-28 days agoJust like Reddit, depending on the instance you join Lemmy allows for pornographic & gore content to be posted. I would suggest logging into your instance, in this case for you it’s https://sh.itjust.works/, and navigate to your profile to turn NSFW content off.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•8 days agoNSFW also includes spoilers for now, as Lemmy devs don’t care about spoilers. (They will come with post tags sometime in the future.) (This is similar to mastodon but they named it “content warning”)

Great, thanks for the help
